Support up to 150,000 SEK for the implementation of feasibility studies

What is a feasibility study?

A feasibility study is done to develop the conditions for a larger project. If your organization has a project idea that could contribute to one of our areas of focus, but it is uncertain whether the project is actually feasible – then a feasibility study may be appropriate.

  • What new knowledge do you need to acquire?
  • Is the intervention relevant to the target group?
  • Which actors need to be included in an implementation?

The application must meet the following conditions:

  1. The project budget is a maximum of 150,000 SEKhowever, currently only 35,000 SEK is available to apply for.
  2. Active project time is a maximum of 6 months. The feasibility study may not incur costs before you have received a decision on your application.
  3. The feasibility study is of interest to more than just the applying organization
  4. The project considers equal treatment, non-discrimination, and/or gender equality (no one is excluded on unreasonable grounds)
  5. The applicant can demonstrate implementation capacity (personnel and financial resources). The organization must be able to cover 20% of the costs until the feasibility study is completed.
  6. The project falls within the framework of Leader Polaris development strategy and benefits the leader area
  7. There is a concrete description of how the three dimensions of sustainability are considered.
  8. The project is innovative locally and the activities are outside the applying organization's regular operations.
  9. The project is locally anchored and has a bottom-up perspective.
  10. The project responds to identified needs and leads to new knowledge that can be put into practice:
    – The application contains clearly described measures and activities that respond to an identified need/demand
    – The application includes a description of what new knowledge the feasibility study is expected to generate
    – The application includes a description of how the results of the feasibility study can be put into practice, i.e., what happens to the results when the feasibility study is completed.

How do we proceed?

Start by contacting the leader office to discuss whether your idea fits within the Feasibility Checkers.

After that, you fill out an application form and a budget. You email these to the leader office. If any additions or clarifications need to be made to the application, you will receive feedback about it.

When your application is complete (i.e. all questions in the application are answered, a correct budget is attached and the application is signed), it will be queued for the decision-making group.

When is a decision made?

We continuously accept applications. From application to decision, it takes about 1-2 months. A maximum of 2 applications can be processed per meeting. In the case of more applications, they are prioritized in the order they were received complete at the leader office. By complete, it means that all questions in the application are answered, a correct budget is attached, and the application is signed.

Please note that an organization may not apply for multiple checks simultaneously. The limitation is made by processing a new application at the leader office only after a final report has been received regarding the previous check.
