Within Leader Polaris, we manage different types of support. Common to the supports is that collaboration is pursued and efforts that benefit many (for example, a destination, a community, a broad public, or an industry) are prioritized.
For businesses, municipalities, associations, and organizations
Support for regular leader projects
This support is currently closed.
The benefit of the project accrues to many, for example, a destination, an industry, or a broader public.
The applying organization owns the project itself; the application and reporting are done in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.
Support amount: 24,000 SEK – 1,800,000 SEK (guideline value), high goal fulfillment allows for higher support amounts.
Support level: 40-100 %, high goal fulfillment allows for a higher support level.
Time from application to decision: About 10 months, good foresight is required.
For businesses, associations, and organizations
Pre-study checks
Just like with ”Support for feasibility studies,” a feasibility study should be conducted to establish the conditions for a larger project. However, a feasibility study check has a lower support ceiling, but on the other hand, a faster processing time.
Support amount: Max 150,000 SEK, however, currently only 35,000 SEK is available to apply for.

For associations and organizations that conduct non-profit activities
Association checks 2.0
Support for smaller development efforts in leisure and culture.
Leader Polaris owns the main project, the association applies for support to carry out a smaller effort. The application and reporting are done to the Leader Polaris operational office.
Support amount: Up to 30,000 SEK
Support level: 100%

Social sustainability checks
Support for initiatives for gender equality, inclusion and well-being!

Checks for community gardening
Support for establishing small-scale non-commercial community gardens. The purpose is to increase interest in gardening, strengthen knowledge about gardening in an Arctic climate, and encourage more people to try this way of organizing.
A community garden is a place where a group of people collaborates to grow plants, vegetables, or flowers on a shared area.
Support amount: Up to 30,000 SEK

Feasibility study checks for meeting places
Support for feasibility studies prior to renovation and development of meeting places!
Through this support, it is possible to inventory development and renovation needs for meeting places in rural areas, such as community centers or other gathering places.
