Jillat Live – Regular cultural events in Vuollerim

About the project

The project works to establish a sustainable platform for regular cultural events in Vuollerim. Through eight events in music, theater and dance, local and Sami culture is strengthened while increasing access to culture for residents and visitors. The project combines the implementation of events with capacity-building efforts, such as workshops and training for local actors and volunteers. A central part is to develop a structured model with templates, work processes and digital tools that enable continued organizing even after the project period.

The implementation is carried out with support from, among others, the municipality's cultural function, youth consultants and a network of Sami cultural practitioners. Collaborations are planned with local and regional actors, including the National Theatre and other organizer networks. Through these contacts and collaborations, a basis is created for joint implementation, knowledge exchange and long-term development of cultural events in the area.
