Art between the lines
About the project
The project aims to create more opportunities for people of all ages to express themselves creatively. Through workshops in photography, storytelling and art, participants develop their own works based on inspiring starting points such as pictures and books. The project also includes creative activities for children and young people in schools and after-school centers.
The implementation takes place in collaboration with local actors in Gällivare, including Kulturfrämjarna, Folket & Falken, Gällivare municipality (library and cultural museum), schools, recreation center and associations. These contribute with networks, expertise, premises and participants. The collaboration enables broad participation, strengthens local networks and creates the conditions for methods and working methods to live on after the end of the project.
Purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to renew and strengthen local cultural life in Gällivare.
The goal of the project is to conduct artistic and storytelling workshops for different target groups and conclude with a public exhibition and storytelling evening. The project will also produce a book as documentation of the results.
