Collaborative site management
About the project
The project is a feasibility study that will develop sustainable models for collaboration around the management and development of common places in Gällivare, such as parks, trails, rest areas and public facilities. The starting point is an identified need for better coordination between the municipality, associations, companies and private individuals around supervision, care and simpler work efforts. The feasibility study will map the needs of the actors, develop proposals for a collaboration model and design an overall concept for a digital platform that supports communication, division of labor and engagement.
The work is carried out through mobilization, interviews, workshops, prototype work and documentation, and will provide a basis for a future implementation project with long-term sustainable solutions for site care and local participation.
Purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to increase local involvement and efficiency in the supervision and care of common spaces.
The goal of the project is to produce a feasibility study report that shows the needs and conditions for starting up the concept of collaborative site management in Gällivare municipality.

”"”In Gällivare municipality there are a large number of public places that need ongoing supervision and care. By mobilizing civil society, these jobs can be carried out by, for example, associations for a fee that benefits their association activities, or certain places could be ”adopted” by, for example, companies or private individuals and taken care of by them. Today, there is a lack of a collaboration model and tools for working in this way on a larger scale.”"”
