DAY activities dance band week in överkalix 2023
About the project
The project will create an inviting and popular event that is connected to the event Dansbandsveckan in Överkalix June 27 - July 1, 2023 by offering different types of daytime activities aimed at both citizens and visitors.
By offering different types of activities and entertainment during the day to those who dance and especially to those who do not dance, the project wants to increase the opportunity to reach out to more target groups who can then choose to come along and experience Norrbotten and enjoy nature and animals and all the daytime activities that are offered. The hope is to make the week a fun folk festival that inspires visitors to come back at some other time to see more of Norrbotten.
In the implementation, a wide range of associations and local actors contribute to creating content and around 25 different activities take place during the days. Everything from waxing courses, fly fishing and rafting on the river to boules and yoga are offered to visitors.
Purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to highlight and attract visitors to Överkalix and create a sense of well-being for residents of the municipality.
The goal of the project is to implement an event that spans five days and offers several daytime activities during the period.
The project consists of the following activities:
– Preparations in the form of marketing, booking of venues and stages, developing activity programs
– Implementation of the event together with external actors
– Post-processing and compilation
