What does Leader Polaris and the Leader method mean for you and your region?
For me, Leader is an organization that promotes the development of the countryside. The project ideas we have had the opportunity to support are serious and set a good tone for the countryside's surroundings and development. I think it should be possible to increase knowledge about us further so that more people dare to seek support and develop their activities. Every small idea is valuable and means a lot to the well-being of the countryside. More committed people are needed who want to develop the countryside.
You represent the private sector in Överkalix. Why are you on the LAG board?
Being on the LAG board means a lot to me. It's developing to participate in something bigger than my usual activities. It's significant when I think about it, actually kind of cool and a pretty big deal for me personally. It's a way of taking a certain kind of social responsibility and a desire to support and develop the area where I live and work.
